What does PharMEDium do, exactly?

We compound medicines that hospitals and surgery centers rely on around the country. We don’t manufacture drugs. Instead, we start with FDA-approved sterile drugs and FDA-cleared components, containers and diluents and compound them into ready to administer medicines.

We have four facilities which do the sterile compounding (Cleveland, MS, Dayton, NJ, Memphis, TN, and Sugar Land, TX), and our headquarters is in the northern suburbs of Chicago.

Our employees are our best asset and what we invest in. They are on the front line and we make sure we are listening to them and leveraging the experience that they bring every day.
Tom Cosentino, Vice President, Strategy

At PharMEDium, you will work in a robust environment since we are expanding, and you will have many opportunities for growth. Last year, we had more than 160 employees who were promoted into positions of increased responsibility in the organization.

We’re a part of AmerisourceBergen — a leading global healthcare solutions company, and we are shaping healthcare delivery with solutions that improve product access, increase supply chain efficiency, and enhance patient care.

Our associates take away great pride every day in the knowledge that their efforts help a patient in need with the products and services PharMEDium provides.

 The application process

When you apply for a position at PharMEDium, a recruiter will take a close, critical look at your resume. We’re looking for people with the right fit—for you and for us. Well-qualified candidates will conduct a call with that recruiter, and then an in-person interview will be scheduled. We strive to be quick and decisive, so you know where you stand with us.

Because we’re growing as consistently as we are, we need to make sure that we know what you want in a career and employer. We hope you’re coming to us with a clear vision of what you’re good at and what you love doing – and if not, maybe we can help you clarify that along the way!

You need to know that we’re selective, too. And even though today’s openings might not be a fit for us both, we are growing and changing – and so are your skills and experiences. So no matter where this takes us, we hope that this application will be the first step toward a long relationship.
